Select Harvests is an ASX listed company and is one of the world’s largest almond growers. This is the second year they have released a Sustainability Report alongside their Annual Report. Sustainability is complex and interdisciplinary, requiring decision making that is economically viable, ecologically sound, and socially just.

Client
Select Harvests is one of Australia’s largest almond companies, supplying almonds domestically and internationally to supermarkets, health food stores, other food manufacturers, retailers and the almond trade. Its core capabilities across horticulture, orchard management, almond processing, sales and marketing enable the company to add value across each of their business activities.
Approach
The past year at Select Harvests has been one of growth of the business and consolidation of their sustainability program. This report recognises the United Nations Brundtland Commission definition of Sustainability, which is defined as ‘meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs’. The brief was to focus on Select Harvests vision and goal to create value for shareholders across a triple bottom line, which considers profit generated from products, the planet we all live on and the people they rely on to be successful.
Solution
The landscape format report differentiates from the 2024 portrait format Annual Report. The powerful cover concept is a logical transition from 2023 with a focus on the harvesting process. We commissioned photography to show the scale of the operations and to illustrate the company’s targets in meeting the relevant United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We designed a strong and consistent colour palette, legible typography and graphics to elevate the brand identity throughout the report.
